Vision Quest - Introduction

You cannot turn on the television today without seeing an announcement for a new reality show. There are battling survivors, dueling house mates, competing chefs, and the list goes on. Fueled by the success, the fame and handfuls of money these shows can bring to the creator, people all over the world are always racing to come up with the next best idea that will be the marketing concept sensation..
What people may not realize are the ‘behind the scenes’ tasks and work that have to be accomplished before a “pitch” is heard by the producers of these television shows. The person with the idea needs to take the time and effort to research the idea. Television stations don’t just hand over a time-slot, so your job is to leave them with no reasonable alternatives.
Vision Quest is that next sensation! And you and your class will have the opportunity to bring this it to life! There are three elements to successfully submit your environmental show idea to producers – First you must be familiar with the planet Earth. Secondly, you need to become the expert on environmental issues. Finally, you will be required to condense that research into a creative presentation that will promote your show idea to the producers.

As per our conversation 6/25 about your Introduction and Project Proposal:
Notes on suggestions:
1. Combine both documents to form a project Introduction.
2. I rewrote your Introduction using all of your ideas to make sound more for teachers and students. I made it more enticing (can't think of a better word.
3. You will work on that to up-date the reality shows and some of the wording.
4. I sent you a copy of my project intro for A Matter of Justice. I pointed out the features of the intro (Intro, saying, identifying the software, making inferences to it and a preview of each phase highlighting some of the activities and the product for each phase) It was all the things you included in both of your documents. You just have to take elements of what you put in tables and rewrite them to flow nicely in a paragraph.
5. I told you that you could borrow some of the wording for your intro.
6. We discussed the process of writing a project, first the Intro, then each of the phases in sequential order where appropriate.
7. I loved your idea, we just have to write it to be that exciting for kids.
Other than that, it was a pleasure speaking to you today and I know this project will be a good one. Talk to you soon. Oh, and if I forgot something, please just blog it. Thanks.

I finished the introduction, but keep reading it and it seems a bit bland to me. I emailed it to you. I modeled it after your sample, but my compass clipart may be too big? I thought it was Compass Learning so put a compass as a visual. I like that you use pictures. I hope I am moving in the right direction :0
